Netgear DGND3700v2 vs D-Link DSL-2740B
« on: May 23, 2015, 12:08:53 AM »

On Netgear DGND3700v2 I have attenuation 23.0/15.3 dB. On D-Link DSL-2740B I've had 24.0/14.4 dB. The attenuation is significantly lower on beginning of downstream and end of downstream.

The first graph is attenuation on D-link. Second graph is attenuation on Netgear.

Furthermore, upstream is better on Netgear despite higher upstream attenuation. I have 1237 kbps instead 1193 kbps.

Unfortunately Netgear also doesn't show correct upstream Hlog and QLN datas on showtime. Is it problem with DSLAM?

Best regards

No, some routers calculate the attentuation differently than others and the attenuation will sometimes vary a tiny bit when resyncing anyway.

In short, your connection looks very good to me! :)

I know it. I'm only very interested in technical curiosities. :)

What do you think about these differences between D-Link and Netgear?
