Two routers in use question
« on: November 29, 2014, 04:03:26 PM »

Now I am running with the HGG612 in bridged mode connecting to my HG635 (currently) I wondered if rebooting or power cycling the HG635 affects how the line stability might be perceived by BTs network, my gut feeling is that it wont see a problem although I guess my ISP (TalkTalk) might see a disconnect and could that affect how they view the stability? Or does it not matter at all what happens to the HG635 is it irrelevant from a line stability perspective?

your ppp session would likely be dropped and reconnected, however the line itself would not be affected.

My limited understanding is that DLM won't notice but the ISP may notice.  I don't think the ISP can do any at all as result though, other than perhaps having a false impression of instability.
