Is it possible to convert horizonstal axis on Hlog from units of frequency to units of distance?
Frequency is measured in units of
s-1. Distance is a function of VoP (measured in units of
m.s-1) and time (
s). So it looks, to me, that a conversion can be performed . . . possibly by a Fourier Transform or Inverse Fourier Transform. But as my mathematics falls short of the required standard, I shall have to leave it to somebody else, better qualified, to say
which transform would be correct and set out the algorithm to use.
Does Hlin give more information?
In a one word answer: no.
We have discussed Hlin previously. You should recall that it is exactly the same information as Hlog, it is just presented in a different fashion with the use of complex numbers.
Can you say something new about my circuit lookig at the TDR graph in the book?
The same one word answer applies here: no.
That simulated TDR graph is exactly what I would expect to see for each of the three conditions shown thereupon.
