Motivation of thieves
« on: December 10, 2013, 06:51:07 PM »

Gentlefolk,

The following link describes some most unfortunate behaviour of probably  a small group of homo sapiens.

http://www.facebook.com/l/rAQHbFEOQ/b4rn.org.uk/b4rn-equipment-theft

With the exception of the compressor which could have many uses, one has to query the motivation of the individuals as the number of organisations fusing fibre must be quite small and the vast majority one hopes are fully equipped in any case, at least in the UK. Perhaps a careful examination of serial numbers is in order for any new projects ?

Kind regards,
Walter

I had read of that latest "happening", Up North, on B4RN's own website>:(

(I suppose one could wonder if Beattie Bellman's great-grandson was involved . . .  ;)  )

@ BKK,

The grandson is up to his usual tricks in trying to prevent Grant applications without having a suitable product himself, but I very much doubt that he would risk hiring a suitably equipped "rent-a-robber gang"  !

Those who haven't looked at the web site might like to know that there is so much local determination to prevent further delays, that the residents have provided additional loans to replace the equipment in advance of the insurance claim processing.

Kind regards,
Walter

Now, what was the chorus to Chumbawamba's most well know song,
Tubthumping:hmm:

I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never gonna keep me down
I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never gonna keep me down
I get knocked down but I get up again
You're never gonna keep me down

@BKK,

Perhaps a little air & exercise outdoors might be a healthier and more beneficial occupation than thumping tubs ?
