Current router/modems with DGTeam like custom firmware?
« on: April 02, 2013, 08:31:58 PM »

I have used Netgear router/modems for many many years and have always used the appropriate DGTeam custom firmware and always found the additional tweaks to be highly useful.

Since the end of supporting the newer router/modems after the likes of the DG834GT's I miss some of those tweaks.

I replaced my last DG834 (was a V3) with a DGN2200.

I have now had this for a couple of years or so and was wondering if there is an alternative Netgear router which can offer additional features by way of using a custom firmware or failing that an alternative router/modem of a different make?

Would an alternative be to use a Netgear router only such as the WNDR models and utilise DD-Wrt?

Any advice greatfully received.

There's modfs for the DGN2200: http://sourceforge.net/projects/modfs/. It allows one to tweak the SNRM, similar to DGTeam.

I should have said I am currently using Modfs  :-[ but its not as complete as the DGTeam DG834 firmware.
