Hi,guys! :)
Im currently using speedtouch 585v6 with firmware 8.2.6.5
I've been having problems trying to create a dns forwarding entry for the purpose of banning some ad sites.

I telneted into the router to access the CLI and typed:

    _{Administrator}=>dns server route list

        DNS             Server    Source    Domain    Metric    Intf                 State
        8.8.8.8                                             10      Internet     UP
        208.67.222.222                                      15      Internet     UP

then added an entry to the list:

    _{Administrator}=>dns server route add dns=127.0.0.1 domain=www.realtracker.com metric=0
   _{Administrator}=>saveall

 It does not work, I can still access the site that I was hoping to ban

 I have checked CLI Reference Guide R8.2 and not found the answer.
 Am I missing something?

Try:

dsd urlfilter rule add url=realtracker.com action=block
dsd urlfilter config state=enabled
dsd config state=enabled
saveall

Is there a "parental control" page in your routers GUI -- it does the same thing.

thanks  :)

I could not find "parental control" in my routers GUI (firmware 8.2.6.5 )
I suppose this firmware does not provide such a feature,and the CLI Reference Guide R8.2 has no dsd urlfilter command.

After the router was downgraded to ver7.4.3.2,I found it in the toolbox column of the GUI.

and now, it works! The ad sites are blocked.
