This photo was taken by a friend of mine today in Adsa.   I cant believe this has the Disney label and that no-one in Asda has spotted the mistake before it hits the shelves nationwide.

You're treading on a hobby horse of mine. I frequently find myself mentally grinding my teeth over poor spelling. I know it's unfair - I had the benefit of a first class education, and not everyone is so fortunate. But you're right - both Disney and Asda should know better.

I'm with you Roseway. Poor spelling and poor speech really get my goat.
I bet the were made in the far east somewhere. I bet half the people at Asda wouldn't have known any difference.

Yes, that made me boggle a bit too. After years of progressively making GCSEs easier, the moment the trend is very slightly reversed, people are up in arms and complaining about unfairness.

Alot of people slagoff Wale's but the standard's of Engish hear of never droped like what they done in the rest of Britian.

Its about time that exams stopped being 'dumbed down'.I also think schools should get back to core subjects and make it compulsory to take a least one foreign language.

Mostly agree, but not entirely about the foreign language.  One of the few commercial advantages that we have over our European neighbours, as well as many other countries, is most of us are already reasonably fluent in the foreign language that (arguably) above all others makes the world tick... American English.

My own view is we should make best use of that advantage, and reassign the time the Euro kids must spend learning American English, to give our own kids a deeper entrenchment in, say, Maths or Engineering.
