he may have restarted the 10-day training period....sit tight and keep an eye on it. Alternatively, if he's just reset the target snrm you may have to reboot the router for it to take...what exactly did he advise you to do ??

Thanks for the help, I'm sure it'll be fine now :)

We linked the router up through the master socket and then he said don't switch it off until he calls on monday to make sure it's all fine.
He said it would stick the BRAS profile if we switched it off (which we haven't).

Hi Zen 1,

It is probably good advice not to turn the modem off for a period of time as that can convince the exchange equipment that you have a poor line and it can therefore cause a reduction in the modem's performance.
However I do wish these people would explain exactly what they mean.
The BRAS will follow just below the synchronisation speed, however that is determined, and not the other way around.
