In the wars again.
« on: February 13, 2012, 01:07:53 PM »

It never rains but it pours.......and TD is in the wars again.

Woke up in the early hours with a sharp, stabbing pain in my left shoulder.......rolled onto right side, massaged shoulder, wiggles it around a bit.......pain went away and I was soon enveloped by slumber again.
During slumber, must have rolled over onto left side again and stabbing pain was back.

Investigated...to find bit of the wire springy thing inside mattress had snapped and was poking up through into shoulder... :(

Got up...flipped mattress over and then turned it head to toe......no more stabbing pain...

Is TD thinkig about a new mattress......... .......at least, not until springs come through that side as well.. :D

I'm glad that the stabbing pain was only caused by the mattress... :'(

I wonder if that's where the phrase  ' spring offensive' came from

No, not as long as they remain plugged in, because they have a small heating element strip below the actual mattress, or else you would freeze.

That's also one of the problems if anyone messes with the control and turns the temperature to high, they take forever to cool back down, but are also fantastic in the hot summer months, (what do you mean, the hot summer months) like the ones we used to have.

As for broken bed springs, never mind springing back into life, what we want to know is does it take much energy to break the spring to start with?
