FIFA Ban poppies on shirts
« on: November 09, 2011, 10:20:17 AM »

I think this is outrageous to ban poppies from being worn on the England players shirts for the friendly against Spain on Saturday.

FIFA are a horrible secretive corrupt organisation headed by a very nasty man who will smile at your face one minute and stab you in the back the next.

It would be nice if BOTH teams decided to go out wearing poppies on their kit for the anthems etc.

Good for them. The poppy isn't a nationalist symbol, it's a reminder of the sacrifices of ordinary servicemen and women, which still continue today.

A compromise has been offered by FIFA:
