I have a poor mans ipod  ........A Sony Walkman 8GB,in fact i have just had a pair of these bough me for my birthday.

I find the in ear ones better for me due to my hearing(or lack of it)   The sound is really good

Heh.. Im ashamed to admit my previous mp3 player was a MuVo... with a massive 512MB of storage.   
It was good in its time (about 6 yrs ago), but hence the reason why Im now in desperate need of something more modern and with more facilities.

My bro got an ipod for xmas.. and it was whilst we were all sat around the xmas table that people said they'd all start putting in £x for my birthday which would be enough for an 8GB version.  However Dixons offer has meant that I can get the Touch 32GB 4G for not that much more.

My daughter said she'd get me some decent earphones as I believe the standard ones that come with it are pretty basic.  So all excited now.

She should have been off tomorrow, but they cant do a relaunch without their new acting manager,

..  and in general..  Im quite proud of my daughter, shes done good.  She still has more exams to pass before officially getting 'her own place', which could take another year or 2.  But she's done really well (stormed them) on those shes taken so far.. and impressed her new employers so much, that they've put her in charge of the place for a few months to launch the new brand name.
