I'm trying to help my neighbour turn off the Windows Live Messenger Log On screen on the administrators setting .
It does not show in 'Start Up'
In add/remove Programs ,I have removed Windows Live Messenger .

Any idea's please.

Also how do you change the default programs or delete them ?>

I RECOMMEND TRYING / USING PCLinuxOS (www.pclinuxos.com) .
I have a set of 8 fixed IP's From my Eclipse isp.
BT ADSL2 line>HG612 set as a Modem, Bridge, WAN not Bound to LAN1 or 2 >Smoothwall (Hardware Firewall and routing) > Ethernet LAN, DMZ,WiFI LAN and Spare LAN .
DSLstats LAN2  linked Ethernet

1 ..  Using 'services.msc' in the 'Run' command box then find 'Windows Live Messenger' Right click and choose to 'disable' it.

2.. In 'Programs'  find 'Windows Live Messenger Log in assistant' Right click the uninstall 'Messenger'

That should stop that annoying pop up message box on log on  >:D.
