Just a footnote on this, I find that out digital TV signal gets significant inteference from various bits of gardening equipment and some vehicles.
At present the transmitter is in "low power" mode on digital and will stay that way until digital switchover in 2012.  :(

The worst culprits are the commercial gardening services who use lots of presumably 2-stroke petrol equipment, but at least they're usually quick. My neighbour opposite has a petrol mower that isn't great either.

But the worst are usually scooters/mopeds and the worst of all was the "kit car" of my other neighbour opposite. I mentioned it to him and he sorted it out very quickly - but then he is an electronics engineer by trade. It did have suppressors fitted but they had failed in some way.
