I envy raplphw the cylindrical slide rule.  I only had a flat one and thought the cylindrical ones looked really cool and very techie!  Mind you I used to struggle with my flat slide rule - I was always much better with log tables etc :-[

When i was moving house a few years ago I came across a cylindrical slide rule that I must have rescued from work when they changed to calculators. I remeber saying ti myself, 'I'll put that safe 'cause it's going to be an antique soon. Dammed if I can find it now.. :(
