Indeed.
In my early days of t'internet, when I just had a USB modem I used internet sharing through XP and an 802.11b (11mbps) wireless network to connect other PC's.
It's not for the faint-hearted.

Thanks everyone. I hadn't configured the Wizard internet connection correctly. Now clicking IE on the 98SE desktop gets me connected
