'Tis indeed. It's been too long since me last one - I'm getting the itch again.

Ive been summoning up the courage for about 11 years now to get a tat.  I chickened out at the last min when my mate had one done and it hurt like hell or so she said.

C'mon Kitz, a bit of pain never hurt anybody(!)
How about I design a tat for you - never seen the point of picking one off of the wall, all mine are self drawn.
11 years is a hell of a wait, let's do something about it!

I've just been reading elsewhere about someone who's just had it done, and the advice they've been given for looking after it, one item of which was "don't pick the scabs off"

I think I won't bother   (not that I was going to anyway - having my ears pierced was enough pain for me)

:D  Personally, getting pierced hurt more than getting inked. but of course each person's thresh-hold differs. But they do say that women have a greater tolerance over a prolonged period.
So come on ladies, time to get that full back-piece!!  >:D

Afternoon Fletch.
As a very rough guide: Over a muscle (arm, thigh etc) not bad. Over bone (collar bone, ankle etc) a bit more sore. Soft flesh (inside arm, inner thigh etc) - ouch!

I know of a place that'll do the sole of the foot for free - if you can handle it!! :o

The tat I was going to have done about 11yrs ago was one of those chinese chars.. and just above the ankle.  That was before they became very popular there..  and thats where it hurt when my mate had hers done.

The only other one that I have considered is a design that I saw somewhere once (but not again) which I would have had done on either my upper arm or back.

Ive never been able to describe it properly, because it was very cleverly done.. but it was an image of a cats face.  However it was actually what I believe to be a "tribal" or celtic design where its actually black stripes and shapes that come together to make up the cats face which was predominantly the upper part of the face/eyes.

I think this has to be one of the worst that Ive personally seen.
The yellow is actually bruising and I know damn well it hurt like hell - despite him not openly admitting it and he wasnt a wimp by any means.
The larger pic I have shows how swollen the flesh actually is.

Personally I didn't like it but there's a reason why he had it done.
He did intend having angel wings added to it on another session, but it never got finished.
Bless ya Mark - still miss ya like crazy.

I know the style you mean Kitz, and how did I know it'd be feline in nature? ;)
I'd be more than happy to do a few sketches.

I'm not much of an artist - so something like that would be hard for me to do :/

Kimi even dragged me back to the shop where we originally saw the image , but it was about 6 months (or more) later and it had gone and they didnt recall it.
I think it was predominantly the cats eyes that drew me to it as it was so cleverly done.

Ive just been searching on the net - but I cant see anything like it - although I did see this one which I thought was kinda cute.

Was it along these lines Kitz?

I've had the ol' crayons out today, got a couple of sketches down, so I'll let you know when they're done.

Typical me - join an adsl forum and end up contributing tat designs! ;D
