Oh wow....... sweet.

My CD player/Music Center seems to be throwing a wobbly right now.  It could simply be a case of the lens needing cleaning.  But if I do need to replace I really fancy the idea of being able to do something like this.

I currently have a  Buffalo LinkStation HS-D300GL which is a media server between the PCs, but I'd love a proper system that I could hookup downstairs.
Guess I need to do a lot more investigating on what i'd need.

I went for a mobo with an on board HDMI output for the hidef content Its also HDCP compliant. The onboard sound is optical out aswell to connect to my AV amp so in theory it should support Dolby surround etc. Just need to add the TV card and remote now.
A mate is mine is currently sorting out my network so my lappy, theatre PC, Main PC all work in conjunction. I use a program called VNC viewer so I can remotley access my PCs from the lappy. All very clever  ???
