With Setanta gone down the tubes I imagine that there will be other similar offers.

Yes, indeed.

A friend recently spotted a Setanta box in a supermarket (Asda/tesco, or something I don't know which).  It was closer to £15 than £4.99, and I know you can already buy freeview STBs for that kind of price, but he reckoned it was heaps better quality than the usual cheapies.
