CarphoneWarehouse and possibly even VirginMedia have now pulled out.

It looks as though the storm of protest actually had an effect. Hopefully Phorm are on the way out. There are others coming along to replace them of course, but there are enough aware people around to put a spotlight on their activities.

A spokesman for British Telecom, Mike Jarvis, told the BBC that they were not completely closing the door on Phorm's Webwise service.

I hope this is really the end of it...  and its good that both CPW & VM are beginning to comment too.

The reason Im a bit hesitant about their pulling out is right now BT seem to have problems making up their minds about some things.
A couple of weeks ago I saw BT in a right palaver about BTVision & Setanta.
They pulled out, then it was all go, then pulled out again.  Over a 2 day period it was on/off for about 6 times.  Then they said yes its on ..  Then about a week later it all started again on/off.. and now its off.   ???
