A-Squared antispyware
« on: December 18, 2008, 08:37:06 AM »

I don't know if anybody here uses this program, but just in case please note.

Version 3.5.0.25 was a stable version........in which you could decline the option to have beta updates installed.
If you have made such a decision, the latest update to the program will ignore that and will install the latest version 4 which is still beta.........and very buggy.

Program best avoided for the moment until they sort themselves out.

I have been trying to remove this post but it appears that I am not allowed to.
Please ignore the above..........apparently version 4 has, yesterday, moved from beta to final.

You should be able to remove your own messages (using the Remove link on the right hand side of the message title), but only mods/admins can remove whole topics. It's probably worth leaving your note for the moment, as it has some possibly useful information.

Ah yes, my little mistake. You can delete your own messages when they are comments on other people's messages, but you can't delete a root message (because that would be the same as removing a topic). Sorry for misleading you. :-[

Aha, learn something every day.  :D

Please, no apology needed, I should have worked that out from your earlier reply... :-[
