That's a very good price indeed. I like HP all-in-ones and I use a C4180 myself. I would say that this is just about unmissable.

Phew,I thought you was going to say the price had gone up.

Edit,I have a HP photosmart, its an excellent printer, apart from the annoying message that keeps popping up telling me my cartridge has expired. Its half full and I am not going to chuck it away.

Looks like a very good price. I'm sorely tempted, but I don't need yet another printer!!

Excellent.

I'm currently in the Market for an all-in-one as my old scanner is broken.

I'm very very tempted - my old printer is always out of ink - giving that to my daughter would make her responsible for her own ink supply - which is where all my ink goes.

The one thing thats holding me back right now is that the specs say Dimensions (WxDxH): 45 cm x 44.4 cm x 24.8 cm.
What is of concern in that it would have to live on a shelf that is 30cm deep..  Im assusming that the 44.4 is inc the papertray hangover (which would be perfectly ok), but I cant seem to find out the 'footprint' size of it to see if it would safely sit on the shelf.

Best pic I can find is this one...  which would seem to indicate that both the paper tray and control panel overhang and the unit doesnt seem too much deeper than A4 width (21cm).

Eric - out of curiousity whats the actual footprint size of your C4100?

Kitz,if you go to the play.com site, there is a 'click video' link. You can then rotate the printer to have a look. The paper tray sticks out quite a way at the front, but some part sticks out at the back as well.

Here's the link direct to HP,but it still doesn't give the footprint size.Your shelf is 30cm (12") and the total printer is 44.4cm (18"),so you have 6"overhang.Might be an idea to make a rough cardboard template and see what it looks like.

>> Eric - out of curiousity whats the actual footprint size of your C4100?

W x D x H

43.8 x 26.9 x 15.9 cm (approx inch measurements converted to cm)

The HP spec says 43.4 x 56.7 x 16.2 cm

So I'm sure you're right that the depth includes the overhang of the paper tray etc.

Thanks guys.

TD - I'd missed the video link - so thanks for pointing it out.  I hadnt banked on that bit at the back whatever thats for.

Eric - Thanks for taking the time to do that.

Okay I think Im going to risk it, as even if it does over-hang, it should only be a tiny bit..  this room is long overdue an overhaul since its not been properly decorated since I moved in and it was only a quick paint job, so its my intention to get the paint pot out after xmas and re-decorate, so hopefully if need be it shouldn't be too much hastle to get a slightly wider piece of wood to stand it on.

ordered - god that was quick.. it stored all the info from the memory sticks the other day.

Just noticed the package size on the HP site says (w)507 x (d) 300 - so hopefully it should all be ok :)
