You're spot-on Kitz. I too was a bit perturbed about how the kids would be affected, but Vanessa explained in advance to them that it was all play-acting, and they did get some smaller rewards. I think the "What's wrong with my clothes?" bit probably was spontaneous.

Now I'm thinking about robbing a bank so that I can pay for them really to go to Disneyland.

You know what?
At 07:35 this morning I was sitting there with nothing else to do  and suddenly I thought about this and remembered that I had typed "Prizes" when it/they are obviously not prizes, they are as you say, what the contestants want to do with the money from the sales.
(Honest that is no word of a lie) I promise.

But as was said they all had a good days bit of fun, and will recant the experience for a long time to come.
