I'm thinking about putting in a bid of £500.

I read on The Times earlier...

Would be interesting if Sky did buy Tiscali, they would be the 3rd Biggest ISP in the UK then ::)

Well the way things are going then they may possibly be about the only one left (unless some foreign/outsider comes in at the last minute).

Vodafone were in the running, then appeared to pull out after the books were opened.
Next it was CPW, who stepped down saying that they werent going to pay over the odds for them, or pay more than the company was actually worth.
Ive never seen any mention of BT being interested (OFCOM/Monopolies Commision would probably kick up a fuss and say no)

So I guess that just leaves Murdochs deep pockets.

IMO Sky just want Tiscali for the IPTV side of things, and as soon as Sky get their hands on it, Tiscali TV will be gone forever  :(

I once looked into Tiscali TV but it's not available in this region.

lol

South Wales is similar, my exchange (Bridgend) is one of few with that many LLU providers! Although others are now slowly growing, its the people in the sticks I feel sorry for....

Same here, I'm glad I live in the big city, or I could be well and truly stuffed for a decent ADSL service.
