Yesterday I spent 7 hours queuing for the new Nintendo Wii for my wifes birthday next week.
I camped out at the local 24hr Asda at the Music and Video department from about 5pm with my mate from work.  We got there first and as he drove he had first place is the queue and I was second. They only had 24 in stock and it took until 7:45pm for the queue to fill to capacity that they were turning people away. The staff were very friendly (although some did laugh) and provided us with a free drink while we waited. My till receipt says 08/12/06 00:01:53 as the time of purchase.
Now I just have to wait until next week so I can actually play the think.

My boyfriend got his Wii the day I went to visit him.
It was ace, I actually beat him on it. Which is a first.
Well fun.

unfortunately it's a little out of my price zone.. but my boyfriends been spazzing over it a lot.
so maybe he'll buy it. and then sometime in 2009 i'll be able to tear him away from it!!
