These settings are at your own risk and this site will not take any responsibility for changes that you make to your router.The following settings will only work if Be* have already enabled Annex M on your line.With Firmware V6.2.G onwards its possible to switch between Annex A /Annex M via the CLIadsl debug multimode config=g992.5_AnnexA
adsl debug multimode config=g992.5_AnnexM
With previous versions - (tested on FW v 6.1.4.3.0) As some of you are probably aware Ive been attempting to find a way to
clear my ever increasing CRC/HEC errors and whilst playing with the CLI, I appear to have stumbled across a way to change between Annex A / Annex M by accident.
Before I start, The standard default string for Be AnnexA/AnnexM (as set by Be) is
{Administrator}[adsl]=>config
ADSL configuration:
opermode = multi_adsl2plus
trace = enabled
modemoption = 00:07:09:05:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00
These are the results of my experiments and what the following modem option strings give me
ADSL1 (G.992.1)
modemoption = 00:07:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00
[note:- 02,03,06+07 in the 2nd bit also gave adsl1]ADSL 2 (G.992.3)
modemoption = 00:07:01:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00
[note:- 02.. in the 3rd bit also gave adsl 2. 09 in the 3rd bit gives adsl2+]Annex A ( Modulation:G.992.5 Annex A )
modemoption = 00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00
Annex M ( Modulation:G.992.5 Annex M US 56 )
modemoption = 00:07:09:05:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00

Now armed with this info, and using DMT tool its really very easy to swap modem options using the 4th hidden tab. - See screen cap belowChange the settings as shown, then click the "Apply/Resync" button.

(you will need to be logged into the forum to see the image.)
All you need to change are:
Field 2 (01) 07 <-> 00
Field 3 (02) 09 <-> 00
Field 4 (03) 05 <-> 00
The strings will work even if you retain your own settings in
Field 1 (00) - Target SNR
Field 5 (04) - Spectral Shaping
