BT Superhub
« on: March 03, 2018, 08:37:49 AM »

Hi all,

I've recently moved house, and now have a 70Mbit/20Mbit FTTC connection, a big upgrade from my 30Mbit/8Mbit line at my old house :)

I got the new superhub, as I'm with BT. I still have my HG612, though have been unable to connect it as a modem, as my Superhub lacks the WAN port (I understand there are two versions of the superhub, I have the one without a WAN port).

Can anyone suggest if there's a way I can get around this and use my HG612 please?

Here are the line stats provided by the superhub:

Thanks :)

Nope, can't be done, none of the LAN ports can be configured as a WAN port. You will need to buy a third party router if you wish to continue using the HG612.

I assume you want to use the HG612 for stats gathering?
If you still have a HH5 you could use the HG612 with that.

If you're not so bothered about the stats then your Smart Hub appears to be performing well enough. I believe it's Broadcom based too, which is good.
