Oisín has gone to sleep on top of my right hand so this post has had to be typed with my left hand only. Caoimhe is asleep on top of my right arm too. Bare skin - source of tremendous heat for kitten.

You have clearly been accepted as compliant, warm, feline sleepy-spot.

The amount of heat the kittens generate from their bellies particularly is astounding. They have four meals a day currently and have nearly doubled in size in ten days. They have now woken up and are playing the radom jumping game in top of me. They love the bed because the duvet provides a safe soft landing for their leaping. It is the only place that they can fling their bodies about with complete lack of care and no limit to their wildness.

My cat frequently wraps himself around my left hand and arm.    Part of my left hand/arm, is numb and the fingers don't work properly.   I actually find it quite comforting when he cuddles my arm as its like a hot water bottle.

I am so very sorry to hear about the pain.

Caoimhe curls up in the crook of my arm sometimes, which is much preferable to her trying to sit on my shoulder.
