I started with all good intentions, to check my tyres, then go to get petrol: the car had been standing sometime.
So, I get out the compressor and try to put it in cig lighter: cover is jammed in. i go in, and wife offers to attempt removal. Tough gal pulls it using key ring of ignition key.
I attend to #1 tyre, which needs air. Our drive is sloped. I try to rise, but can't find any thing to latch on to to push my self up, and end up on my back. I'm calling out as loud as I can. On a wet Sunday morning who will hear?! Fortunately tough gal wife hears and rescues me.
Matters did improve, when daughter invites us round to evening dinner. She hears my woe, and comes round with eldest grandson, who does the honours and we go off to fuel station.
