IDNET Gaming - Line Issues
« on: January 22, 2018, 01:25:10 PM »

Hi All,

I am hoping someone could help me.

I have signed up to IDNET and I am having issues with my connection. I play a lot of online games and I am getting some strange lag.

I have checked my connection and I am getting good speeds and 0% packet loss but the lag is still there. I have attached a screen shot of my modem stats, The stats were taken from the modem which had been connected for 8 hours.

Can anyone advise because IDNET are saying my line is fine and my stats look fine.

You have interleaving enabled on what I assume is your downstream (I find near end / far end descriptions confusing!).

This will almost inevitably lead to an increased ping time. although I would have expected to see a value in the Interleave Display field.

You have a lot of errors showing, which would explain why DLM has kicked in and applied interleaving to your line.

Looks like the OP has G.INP enabled.
Drayteks are
near end = downstream and
far end = upstream
retx is shown in the wrong field, so is enabled on the near end (downstream)

If you wish to monitor your lag/ping in detail, I recommend using the thinkbroadband broadband quality monitor.

Hi John,

Is there anyway I can disable G.INP or turn it on for the upstream?
