Moving from BT - Any ISP recommendations?
« on: January 03, 2018, 07:12:19 PM »

Hi All,
I'm looking to move away from BT. At the moment as a "valued" customer I'm only being offered a £42/month package.

So I'm looking to try another ISP. I am considering Vodafone as they're currently offering £20/month for 18 months. However, their customer service and some customer complaints about download speed issues it's still a concern. On their forums one customer had a sync of 74mb, but was only getting download speeds in the high teens at peak times.

So was considering EE as I'm with them for my mobile phone, or PlusNet.

Any thoughts / recommendations on the above?

Without any information other than that --
  • you are displeased with your current broadband Internet service provider
  • you have a mobile telephone service provided by EE
-- and that you wonder if --
  • you should migrate to EE for your broadband Internet service?
  • you should migrate to Plusnet for your broadband Internet service?
-- my answer would be to suggest that you migrate to EE.

Plusnet can excel at everything. When things go well they are very good, when things go wrong they can make them go very, very wrong!
