Sudden SNRM drops last few days
« on: December 07, 2017, 12:41:12 PM »

I have my connection capped at around 30000 in an attempt to remove banding & the connection is fine. Just looked at my stats & I've had some SNRM drops, just on downstream on 4/12, then yesterday on U/S too which has dropped to under 5 & gone yellow on MDWS.

There have been no resyncs with the drops - yet.

My thoughts are maybe Christmas lights going on, but mine aren't up yet, nor are the neighbors.

Gedpie on MDWS if anyone wants to have a quick look. Thanks.

What speed do you get uncapped?

What happened on Nov 19 at 16:00-18:00 ?

32398 - banded. I was also heavily interleaved, which DLM removed a few weeks back. I doubt I'd get much higher than 35000 due to the 1Km+ run to the cabinet.

Apologies, didn't answer that one. The missus pulled her laptop cable which unplugged the router, I came home to a chorus of "The internet's off" & plugged it back in.
It resynced without my aggressive capping.

Regarding my margin drop, could it be crosstalk? New neighbours have moved in 2 doors down & had an openreach team sorting their line out recently(previous neighbours were on VM), so they will have no doubt gone live around the time of the drop.

That is certainly a possibility, yes.

Think I can see your new Crosstalker in your stats they must have had a quick modem retrain as you can see in the attachment, have marked a yellow arrow to show this event and the difference in SNRM does equal the amount you lost.

Nice people, but this is unforgivable, how dare they get VDSL  :o

I can't even switch to VM as it's an over utilized area.

House move it is then.
