LinITX do a range of pfSense firewalls, based on PC Engines boards.

I've had a few, but have moved on to Netgate hardware.

Two were OK, now boxed and stored as backups.

One rebooted at random. After a few rounds of sending it back for testing, I got a refund.

This is what I have, although I bought mine direct from PCEngines. Works great, I haven't had any stability issues, current uptime is 28 days (which is when I rebooted after updating pfSense)

here is evidence of proper ongoing support instead of planned obsolescence.

I have updated both of mine to 2.4.2.
Maybe the next time I am down with my mother I can get IGMP to work for my Youview box down there.

I tried to follow it. No joy, maybe because the line is currently connected to a BT HH5A, with the SG2220 as the DMZ.

I will try again in a couple of weeks when my broadband migrates to A&A and a bridged modem.

Even so, I will not be able to follow the guide precisely - the SG2220 only has two ports.

DMZ is evil, maybe swapout the HH5A with something that can run in bridge mode?

Indeed. Swapping supplier soon from BT to A&A, with a VMG1312-B10D which I'll bridge soon after configuring it for dslstats.

You cannot run another modem on BT? other customers do so.

I have a number of spare VDSL modems (8-)

I could take a HG612 down there, but I had been intending to move to A&A anyway.

Working IPTV is a nicety, not a necessity.

Otherwise, pfSense is far better as a firewall than anything I have personally controlled. Admittedly, its power and flexibility may be daunting to many.
