Phone problem - third time lucky
« on: November 10, 2017, 07:32:44 PM »

So until today the phones (dect) were working perfectly.

Then tonight a friend called me and the phone rang and I picked it up and couldnt hear anyone. I put the phone down, and it rang again, I couldnt hear and put the phone down again. Phone rang for a 3rd time and this time we could both hear each other. After talking about it he said he could hear me but I couldnt hear him.

Then an hour later another friend called and the same thing happen. Twice the phone rang and I couldnt hear anyone. Third time we could both hear each other.

I'll have to start diagnosing this. But as anyone else had a similar issue? How did you manage to resolve it?

The first step has to be by testing with a classic, wired, telephone in place of the DECT phone(s).

The second step depends upon the result of the above . . .

Then power it off and then on, soo how things go.

You may have been unlucky and kept getting a dodgy channel, or your caller did, that automation has not already picked up.
