FTTP providers
« on: November 03, 2017, 07:16:32 AM »

My brother has recently moved into a new development and has been told by several of the big providers that they cannot provide him with internet.
It appears the lucky sod has had BT round to hook up the rest of the line and it goes into a fiber modem in his cupboard.

Who can provide him with a service? Does he have to take on a service that serves the full 330/30 connection or can he take a standard speed connection also?

The following all provide FTTP services:

A&A
BT
Plusnet (existing customer trial)
Spectrum Internet
ZEN

Your brother can get the standard FTTC speed packages (up to 80MB)  as well as faster speeds where the ISP supports them - not all do

Excellent! Thanks for the information. I'll get him to check them all out.
