The fixes being pushed out by Microsoft and the Linux community are commendable. But worth bearing in mind, if you are installing them on a PC with wired Ethernet you are wasting your time, as wired devices were never vulnerable to this issue.
Once I hear that Sony & others have pushed out fixes for Android TVs, and Panasonic etc for Firefox OS TVs, Apple too, and similar for all the hundreds of other consumer goods like WiFi enabled digital cameras, and random IoT devices, let alone updates all the worlds mobile phones and home routers, I might be a bit more impressed.
