I recently bought the AOC G2460PF 24" to replace my old 1080 second monitor.

The old monitor used hdmi. But this new one can use DP and is advertised at 144hz. So I used the DP but the monitor is running at 68hz according to its monitor menu. The part in the menu tells me the hz but doesnt give me options to change it.

Nvidia still reports it at 60hz, like it thinks its my old monitor.

I've noticed that changing the color settings in the nvidia panel as no effect on the new monitor.

The monitor knows its using DP, as does the Nvidia control panel sees its using DP. But I can't seem to change the refresh rate above 60hz

I know the new monitor is freesync, but I thought I'd at least be able to manually control the refresh rate?

Anyone any ideas?

I found a work around by going in to display adapter in windows and was able to select 144hz there. Then when i went back in to nvidia I was also able to change the colour settings too.

It's kinda odd that it doesnt set the highest refresh rate automatically.
