is possible kitz did it herself to protect fast path following an ES burst, but if it wasnt preceded with an ES burst, then looks like an actaul outage.

But as black sheep has said many times this can be a blessing, as we know kitz has had ongoing issues for a while, but not able to get fixed as they not "bad enough" to be fixed, a complete outage will of course trigger corrective action and may resolve the ongoing issues as well.

Should have been back up at about 9am - I took it off-line myself. :)

Nearly right.  It was a precautionary measure.

I had a few appts over the past few days some distance away and I wouldn't be back until late.
Rather than risk one of the daily error bursts going crazy (which as you know they sometimes do) and me not being able to do anything about it... and thus the DLM  kicking in... I disconnected the router myself.

*I meant to come online last night to remind about the server migration my hosts were doing.
I put the wi-fi back on to connect the tablet, but was so shattered I fell asleep and totally forgot - so PC wouldnt have started recording again until this morning.

... and it went down this morning at about 4:30 for no reason that I can see.  When it came back up it started slightly oscillating again and the errors had already reached ILQ Amber, so I turned the router off for a short while at about 7:45 to let the DSLAM port rest.     The SNRM now looks more stable and the error rate has dropped back to a normal level.

I won't be able to monitor for the next few hours and as its the line hasn't yet had its usual morning spike of errors, I'm not going to run the risk of letting the errors get stuck.
So don't worry if you see my line go down again as I'll just be switching off whilst not here and its not anything more drastic.
