VDSL2 FTTC is this normal.
« on: September 10, 2017, 09:32:10 PM »

I am on an FTTC line attenuation is 27 db according to the modem stats (not trusting this as google maps has me 600 - 800 meters from the cabinet) down speed is 38 Mbps.

My SNR varies by about 1db from daytime to nighttime.

However the SNR goes down in the day and up in the night completely opposite to how the ADSL2 behaved.

Figures are about 9db at midnight and 7.8 db at midday the up and down speed is pretty constant but can't find any info about this behavior, I mentioned it to a local engineer and he just shrugged his shoulders.

Anyone else experienced this?

A square edge to the SNRM change? If so, it could be someone turning their modem on and off.
