Sync Increased by 20 Mbps in a Week
« on: August 22, 2017, 09:14:39 PM »

So, got home from work today and my modem had re synced again, sync has increased by nearly 10Mb for no apparent reason. Why the sudden increase G.INP was already active and interleaveing hasn't changed???? This is a 20Mb increase since my line went active 2 weeks ago. i am on mdws as lewisp8

My guess is vectoring as US SNRM has shot up into teens. Also looks like lewisp8 is in the middle of SNR drop. Now getting max sync on both US and DS. Need DSLstats 6.0.6 to see if vectoring has been enabled.

Just downloaded it now. I think it must be vectoring. My cab Is A BDUK cab and i think those are most likely to get vectoring if i am correct

I am on a BDUK Cab and had vectoring applied on the 17th , it seams it coming to BDUK Cabs first

According to MWDS vectoring is off for lewisp8.

That sounds like it's going to make its way to commercial cabs. AFAIK it's only used selectively on some BDUK cabinets to help meet targets.

Looking at Lewis' QLN plot, attached below, I think we can safely say that vectoring is working nicely on his circuit.

Notice how the QLN plot quite clearly shows the effect of cross-talk? I am presuming that the data for that plot is obtained (in "discovery mode", as usual) before any vectoring was applied to the circuit.

Yes! Which means Vectoring is NOT enabled.... I just checked the raw uploaded data and it is Status 5 which is not enabled.

Blue is not enabled. All grey is no data. All green is enabled.

I'm baffled then, I'm certainly not complaining about my increase in line speed but if it's not Vectoring then what could it be. Are OR testing different SNRM margins?
