Best time to re-sync?
« on: August 17, 2017, 09:23:30 PM »

Today my attainable has been going between 80 and 79. I am trying to get back to a sync of 79 from 78778 but seem to keep hitting the re-sync at the wrong time. What is the best time to re-sync to get maximum sync. Daytime/nightime or cloudy/clear skies?

Probably best trying to see if you can see some sort of pattern from monitoring SNRm as not all lines behave the same.
You want to resync when your SNRm is at its highest value.

That is the trouble the SNRm doesn't seem to change or at least very rarely it is as they say steady as she goes. I will monitor.

Best time is during a full moon but make sure that the sky is not cloudy and that the moon is directly overhead at your cab (or as nearly so as possible) for optimum results. Get someone at the cab with a mobile to let you know if needs be.

I don't think many round here have FTTC. My neighbour is still on ADSL2+ and I have told her FTTC is available.
