Lower than expected download speed
« on: August 07, 2017, 06:46:38 PM »

Hi there, just installed a new Zyxel VMG8324-B10D and was hoping that I would achieve the same speed as my neighbours. They are getting 24Mbps and I am only getting 16/17Mbps. I have my graph setup on www.mydslstats.co.uk under cwave. Can someone see what might be affecting the download speed?

Hi your stats are currently down and there isnt much history to look at.   Your SNRm does appear to vary a bit over the course of the short time it has been up, but its still within acceptable parameters.

It may be advisable to show full stats obtained from your modem..  and also if possible leave DSLstats running for a period to see if there is a daily pattern to the SNRm.

Not sure which modem you are using but it is most likely to be:-
xdslcmd info --stats      or
adsl info --stats
