One way to achieve a higher sync in to set the  Target SNRM offset (in DSLStats >>Configuration>>Advanced>>Advanced Tweaks) or send a xdslcmd configure --snr xx (I use xx=80 to sync at about 5 dB SNRM)


Rain also raises my SNR  marginally.

EDIT: Just re-read...your on a slow VDSL connection, the above will not work then.

Tweaking the target SNRM doesn't work with VDSL2 unfortunately.

Sorry about the confusion I caused there. You can get dslstats to send an email when the snrm rises, then you need a processor to act on your inbox e.g https://www.emailparser.com/ and reboot the modem.

If you plan to write your own script, you could have a look at the webserver in dslstats to create data files in the webserver folder and schedule a script to read the data and act appropriately
