Hi again.
Right, having spent
far too much time messing about with this and scouring the web I've now got it working.
Setup: Asus RT-AC68U on 192.168.1.1 & TP-Link W9970 on 192.168.2.1.
I've entered using telnet:
ifconfig `nvram get wan0_ifname`:0 192.168.2.2 netmask 255.255.255.0Note : the IP number shown in bold must be one more than your modem's IP. If your modem's ip is 192.168.2.1 then it must be written as 192.168.2.2.
&
iptables -t nat -I POSTROUTING -o `nvram get wan0_ifname` -j MASQUERADEand I can now access the W9970 from any machine on my network.
I'd like to say I'd worked this out myself
but credit must go to people on Kitz and
SNBforums among others.
I've also decided to try Asuswert-Merlin so that I can add scripts to configure at startup, although, as you've already mentioned, once running my router stays up for months .
