Stick with DSL-AC68U or change to Draytek 2860?
« on: June 07, 2017, 12:28:26 AM »

Hi

I've had my Asus DSL-AC68U for a few weeks now. DLM has acted on my line and I am now interleaved. I seem to get around 20-30 crc errors and no disconnect daily so pretty stable in my opinion.

Was previously Fastpath using an old TP Link Broadcom Modem. I want advanced features and VPN server included.

I am tempted to get either a Draytek 2860!for stability and hopefully a return to Fastpath or perhaps the Broadcom based TP Link VR600 v2 which now includes VPN, although this seems too basic for my liking.

Any recommendations or should Inavoid the Draytek with the Lantiq chipset based on my huwei Broadcom cabinet?

If your dsl68u will work in router only mode you could pick up a hg6123b modem which will be matched for your cab too..

The modem is not that great in the 68u

I don't own one but the Zyxel's seem to be well regarded.
