I have a Billion 8800NL router which appears to sync much faster that other users on my cab after a general power cut so we just had one and it resynched with a 3dB noise margin which rapidly dropped to about 2dB as did the upstream noise margin which started at 6dB - see this graph
I haven't seen speeds this good for ages - I wonder how long it will last

Does your circuit normally show a diurnal decay & rise in the DS SNRM at the beginning & ending of the daylight hours?

If so, then I suspect the answer to your question -- "I wonder how long it will last" -- is until excessive quantities of CRCs cause a significant rise in ES.

not to any significant extent but had another power cut - it is a bit windy - and now have this which almost certainly won't hold specially with the enormous number of downstream FEC errors reported even though the CRC errors are apparently zero

Those latest values (54190/10142 kbps DS/US) look like what I would expect to see if Plusnet sold the Openreach 55/10 Mbps DS/US product.

I think quite a lot of us see that.  It frequently happens with the HG612's and I sometimes see it too with my Zyxel, so I think its possibly the BCMs.

I just noticed mine is also currently running at 4.9dB and giving me a bit more sync speed too.  Not quite sure what happened at about 4-5am this morning - whatever it was looked to start sometime around 4am and took my crosstalker off line.  It looks like their modem tried to come back up, but then went down again.  In the meantime mine did a resync whilst they were still offline...  then subsequently lost SNRm when they must have turned theirs back on again.

I should in theory perform a manual resync to bring my own SNRm back up to 6.3dB,  but tbh it seems stable enough and still showing as MBTE Green.
When my line does start kicking off the Err Secs run into 10's of 1000's so I doubt its going to make much difference.

Just checked my CRCs...  they seem perfectly fine.   I just have the usual spike that always happens between 9-10am
Interesting that my crosstalker did a resync at about 7:30 pm this evening...  and as soon as they came back up, my line started a slight jitter.
Its much clearer on DSLstats than on MDWS -prior to their resync I was totally flat-lining.

Try increasing the graph size to extra large then you'll see it more clearly...
