Sync of 42 max attainable 50

A few days ago sync and max attainable were very close around 46m and 47m respectively. Then interleaving kicked in and sync dropped to 42 with max at 50. Why can I no longer achieve the max attainable? 6db target.

With interleaving, the max attainable rate can be calculated using different parameters than what the line will actually have to use.
