Discrepancy between GEA Test and Modem information??

I have asked the provider to perform a GEA test and those are the results

Looking at this I have 0.128-40M and GINP on there have no been any retrains since the first connection

Looking at the modem stats however there is only bearer 0 and hence no GINP and sync speed is 40673 this does not reconcile with the Profile on the GEA test

Any ideas what is going on?

Most likely the GEA test is reporting the configured profile but the actual live setting, and I guess your modem doesnt support g.inp?

My modem supports GINP and I was on it until I changed provider

I am currently on fastpath D=1 and delay=0 though

I did not turn anything off at the switch it and there have been no retrains of any sort since

I have an FTTC line that is on a GINP enabled cab, and in the past has had GINP enabled, but since last DLM reset some 70+ days ago it's been on fastpath.
I also have another FTTC, that one is also on fastpath.

Neither line has breached the red threshold for errors so DLM is doing nothing.

I do not think GINP is enabled unless the line needs it......

Sheepie that is what I thought but then why is the profile set to retransmission low?
I have opened a ticket with Plusnet let's see

I would assume that the profile info is out of date, nothing more to it than that. Plusnet don't normally put new customers on 40/10, they sell 40/2 and 80/20 packages.

I just had a resync (by DLM) and it enabled G.INP on my "new" line that only went live 8 days ago. As this is a 40/2 connection it was getting virtually no error seconds per day but DLM still decided to enable G.INP (straight from being fastpath, it was never interleaved).

Yet the line that I had DLM reset done on 11th Jan is still fastpath, and that one is always in "amber" for errored seconds per day, so could probably do with G.INP.

I opened a ticket with plusnet and today at 8:50 I had a resync, now GINP is active and the sync speed has gone up to 44186 from 40672
However when I do a speedtest on BT wholesale the IP profile shows still the old 39.37 mbps....

This is really confusing

I wonder what plusnet did to enable G.INP? When I ask my ISP (Zen) they do not seem to be able to control or request anything except a DLM reset and they will only do that if there is a fault.

Plusnet did nothing. DLM triggered a re-sync. Now the sync speed is higher but the profile still misaligned

The IP profile is set to a percentage of the sync speed. I believe it will go up automatically but Plusnet might be able to speed things up for you.

Well it should have gone up the day after the re-sync but it looks like the profile is stuck now

I thought the IP profile is not used if you've been migrated to GEA backhaul as the subject suggests

BT wholesale also has a GEA link in each exchange and plusnet uses BT wholesale so yes it is used.
