Those stats look ok now.
Its strange that this should occur when you removed a cable.  I would have said just to check that the adsl filter didnt get slightly dislodged/damaged.   Whilst unplugging the cable did you move anything else so that the line could pick up any electrical noise from elsewhere?

edited to add

Me and eric were posting at the same time..  but it looks like we both suspect electrical interference from somewhere.
It seems weird that for months that you have been pretty stable with pretty good stats from your previous sync - then it all seem to go to pot yesterday evening.

Thanks Kitz,no I just removed the cable from the BB talk socket in the back of the router, and set it up as normal.Filter into test socket, then router to filter and phone to filter. When I tried the phone it was really crackly so I put the cables back as they were.Things seem better since the last re-sync so I'll wait and see.

Even though the BB talk cables are connected the lights not on in the router and broadband talk is not working.I don't need it now so I'll leave it as it is.

Copperline check without the modem.

Also remove the modem and then check the phone for noise. If the noise is gone then it is more than likely the line card at the exchange at fault, if the is still there, then its a PSTN fault.

Just noticed my router re synched just over two days ago.It was about 105 days since it last did this.I have noticed the interleaver depth has changed,is this because the line has become unstable?I  have also noticed there are quite a few errors in just over 2 days .

It's probably no more than a bit of an increase in noise. Your figures still look good. Your previous uptime of over three months was pretty phenomenal for such a long line.

Just noticed I had a re sync 11 hours ago.IP profile dropped from 1.75 to 1.25.Just about interleaver depth, before re sync it was 16.4,not sure why I had a re sync as my snr has been steady at around 7.0 downstream, and not too many errors.
These are my latest stats.

Line Mode G.DMT   Line State Show Time
Latency Type Interleave   Line Up Time 00:11:12:23
Line Coding Trellis On   Line Up Count 5

 Statistics Downstream Upstream
Line Rate 1568 Kbps 448 Kbps
Noise Margin 8.8 dB 12.0 dB
Line Attenuation 63.5 dB 31.5 dB
Output Power 17.1 dBm 12.4 dBm
K (number of bytes in DMT frame) 50 15
R (number of check bytes in RS code word) 16 16
S (RS code word size in DMT frame) 4 8
 D (interleaver depth) 8 4
 Super Frames 2373097  2373095
 Super Frame Errors 4944  0
 RS Words 40342652  20171307
 RS Correctable Errors 94383  0
 RS Uncorrectable Errors 35325  0
 HEC Errors 4269  0
 OCD Errors 219  2
 LCD Errors 0  2
 ES Errors 0  0

Edit,what does,'line up count' mean.
this time it is 5,before it was 3 and before that it was 2?

At a guess I would say that the line up count is the number of times the router has re-synced since it was last rebooted. So it looks as though you actually had two re-syncs recently, not just one. Your connection is possibly a bit less stable than it was, and a small change in interleave depth has been made in response to this.

Hi all, just noticed my latest re-sync.My SNR has been steady at about 8.8,yet now my downstream has increased from 1568 to 2240 but my snr is only 4.3.Does that mean my line has become more unstable or more stable.

Latency Type Interleave   Line Up Time 00:16:43:35
Line Coding Trellis On   Line Up Count 6

Line Attenuation 63.5 dB 31.5 dB

R (number of check bytes in RS code word) 16 16
S (RS code word size in DMT frame) 2 8
