Can someone tell me how to post a copy of my line stats on here please.

To get the line stats go to http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/frogstats.htm and look up the instructions for your relevant router

To copy and paste them onto the forum, highlight them, right click the highlighted text, choose "Copy". Then when writing your post, right-click on the text entry area and choose "Paste"

If the instructions mention using 'telnet' to get the line stats, this page shows you how to copy and paste text from a command line (DOS) window.

You've got a very long line - the downstream attenuation of 63.5 dB is the largest figure which the router will display, so the actual value could be even higher. In the circumstances I would say that you've got a fair result, with a reasonable connection speed and a good noise margin. The error counts are not excessive. If the uptime really is 51 days as it seems to say, then I would say that is very good for such a long line.

Thanks eric,I must admit its very rare the router re-sync's.Infact last time I re booted it myself because the BT broadband phone was not working.

Agreed, you've got a VERY good connection there for your attenuation - you must have an excellent clean line with very little interference there

@ Mr Chris and Kitz,thanks for the input guys.Well I have my router plugged into the mains socket which is right at the side of my computer,with no internal extensions.I guess that helps.I rember last year at this time,workmen cut through the underground cable across the road.We had complete new cable laid but my BB connection was always dropping out.I left TalkTalk in May and went with BT but things were still hit and miss.Eventually an engineer came(the day of the floods last June)He spent three hours here and eventually what he did was go up the telegraph pole and move my line onto a spare one.Ever since then even though I'm only getting 1250 IP profile my connection is very reliable.

Since I posted my line stats on 24 April my snr margin has dropped from 14.1 downstream to 12.7,does that mean I am heading for problems if it keeps dropping.

That just sounds like the normal sort of variation which you can expect at different times of the day. Don't start panicking yet.

These are my stats today,noticed since i posted my line stats on 24th April SNR dropped from 14.1 to 11.7 downstream and quite alot more HEC/OCD errors.Does this show some kind of problem,or is it normal.
