The DSL Checker seems to have been updated again as my line is now also returning Yes under "WBC FTTC 18x2 Sim Availability".

@Bowdon

What are your estimated ADSL speeds? I think it needs to be less than 10Mb ADSL to be eligible for 18/2 FTTC.

Virgin Media has been available in my neighbourhood and town in general for ages.

It's up to 15Mb.

Well thats good to know.

I'll just have to hope when G.fast comes out it makes it here.

It's not available for me either.  As I also mentioned here nor is it at my parents who would perhaps benefit from FTTC as their adsl is <8Mb.

I don't think its available at all cabs.

LR-VDSL is not the same thing as 18/2.

pretty sure I read 18/2 is only available to EU's with under 3mb ADSL

edit: looks like it was 3mb, and is now 10mb

I've noticed that on all the screenshots people posted FoD is also available.

I'm wondering if these products are only available on FTTP enabled exchanges?

I'm assuming FoD can only be done on a FTTP enabled exchange? I might be wrong on that assumption though?

You are indeed. There is no such requirement.
